| Our Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins can frequently be found swimming just outside our home harbor, Honokohau Marina, and there are several pods that frequent other protected bays on the Kona coast. We offer you an opportunity to encounter these beautiful animals in their natural surroundings. Come join us on our Dolphin Swim and Reef Snorkel Tour! We go out in the early morning and spend an hour swimming with the spinners before they "call it a night". The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphin is a nocturnal mammal which spends its days sleeping in preparation for a night of hunting for food. We spend an hour snorkeling with the dolphins after they have come in from their nightly feeding. This is a very unique experience that will be the highlight of your vacation. |

We go out on the Dolphin Swim and Reef Snorkel Tour several times a week. Please consult our month's schedule (click on the calendar icon on the left hand side of the page) for the specific dates and times. This four hour charter takes you up and along the Kona coast in search of our mammalian friends. You can expect to spend an hour around the pod spending time in and above the water in the company of our beloved Dolphins. We respect the Dolphins need for rest and head out to visit one of the excellent shallow reefs on the coast when the dolphins are ready to enter into their resting period. We make every attempt to minimize the impact on their natural behavioral rhythms. After your dolphin encounter we will take you to one of Kona's beautiful reefs for some incredible snorkeling. |

Once we arrive at one of our pristine reefs, you will receive a briefing on coral reef ecology and fish identification and then spend an hour snorkeling in the crystal clear water. All the snorkeling gear, use of a wet suit, floatation aides, and a light snack are included.

| Our healthy reefs supports a wide variety of colorful fish along with octopus, eels, turtles and many other interesting critters. Many of our fish species are endemic (can only be found here). Our snorkel guides are trained dive professionals and they will be glad to help you identify the sea creatures you encounter and learn about their interesting behaviors. For example, you can learn about "cleaning stations", and other cooperative relationships. |
