Aloha! Come join fellow underwater photo enthusiasts from around the world in the 7th annual Kona Classic held on the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. You and your fellow contestants will be shooting side by side with top photo pros. Are you just getting your feet wet in the exciting field of taking pictures underwater? If so, why not benefit from decades of experience? You will be taking pictures to be proud of by the end of the week. This year's event will be hosted by Sport Diver magazine photo journalist and editor Ty Sawyer and will feature top photo pros. Last year's pros included Marty Snyderman, David Fleetham, Jim Watt, and Doug Perrine. Your diving will be aboard one of our two custom dive boats. Each has dedicated fresh water rinse buckets for your delicate photo gear. You will spend the week diving, shooting, reviewing, learning, diving, shooting, ... The dive sites include a turtle cleaning station and the world famous manta ray night dive locale featured in the recent IMAX release "Deep Sea 3D". However, this is far more than an opportunity to log some dives in Kona! After honing your photographic skills by attending seminars each night and applying what you learn each day you will enter your best shots at the end of the week to compete for great prizes including dive gear, and live aboard trips to some of the best dive destinations in the world!

The official hotel for the Kona Classic is the outstanding Outrigger at Keauhou. This hotel is conveniently located close to town and has one of the best ocean front locations on the Kona coast. The dive package includes 11 dives and access to one or more photo pros during each charter. The dives are done on 5 two tank morning charters and 1 one tank night charter, which is the world famous Manta Ray Night Dive. The event registration includes the welcome reception (pupus and beverages), nightly photo review sessions and seminars, entry in the photo competition (Great Prizes!), and the awards dinner that wraps up the week of fun.
