Black Water Night Dives
Schedule:Friday Nights
Time:Select Times. Restrictions apply.
Cost:$156.45 (1-tank) or $250.58 Including (combined with manta). 4-person minimum.
You Need:*2 dives with KHD prior to black water dive
*AOW certification or proof of 50 logged dives

Driving Directions from South of Kona

  • From South of Kona, drive north on Queen Kaahumanu Hwy (a.k.a. Hawaii Belt Rd), proceed through town, pass Palani Rd, to Makala.
  • Turn left on Makala (at Sports Authority) and make the first left on Luhia (Target will be on your left). Continue through the intersection at Kaiwi.
  • Immediately to the left you will see the Hale Hana Center (a grey building with a blue roof). Take the third drive way into the Hale Hana center. Jeanne Marie Imports w/purple doors will be directly in front of you. Follow the first curve to the left and proceed to the end of the building. Take a right into the first parking lot. Our shop is across from Pacific Island Fitness.

  • From North of Kona, drive approximately 2 miles south of Honokohau Marina until you see Makala Street.

Regardless of where you are staying along the Kona Coast, Kona Honu Divers, your source for Hawaii Scuba Diving and Whale Watching Tours, is conveniently located at Honokohau Harbor, five miles south of the airport on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Highway 19). We are three miles north of Kailua-town and a thirty minute drive from the big hotels on the Gold Coast of South Kohala.
